Salisbury welcome Hemel Hemstead Town the to Ray Mac on Satruday for the second match between the two sides this season.
Salisbury’s first opponents this season were Hemel, when the two teams played out an entertaining two-two draw on opening day.
The Whites had raced into a two goal first half lead through a brace from Craig Fasanmade – the second half saw the hosts come back and level through first Riccardo German and then Brandon Barzey before Ryan Gosney was shown a straight red card.
That was the start of a 9-game unbeaten start to the season, which saw The Tudors sitting at the top of the table. However, they have been struggling since their first defeat of the season away at Truro City at the start of October.
They are currently on a run of 13 league games without a win, two of which have been draws, and 11 defeats, which has seen them drop down the table. They now sit 17th.
In their last game, they met Dorking Wanderers on Monday evening at the Focus Community Arena. The visitors, Dorking, handed out a thrashing, beating Hemel 7-1, scoring six in a rampant second-half
Salisbury are also struggling for form in the league, with Brian Dutton’s side having not picked up three points since the away win at St Albans at the start of October.
After the defeat away at Bath on Tuesday evening, which left Dutton bitterly disappointed, he will be looking for a reaction from his players and challenged his players to prepare as though they were facing a top-of-the-table side.
